They say we should live in the present but the present keeps racing ahead. Today is only March 19th but it's being billed as the first official day of spring, idk, maybe because it's a leap year .... In any case, spring is old news by now. It's been feeling spring-like ever since we had a string of 50 or better-degree days in early March. That was enough to bring out the crocuses, followed soon by the daffodils, which had begun to bloom by the Ides. By St. Patrick's Day, the grass was glistening green and the forsythia had started to pop. So, yeah, it's not so easy to live in the present when the times themselves are so mixed up. Gemischtlichkeit - is that how you would say it in German?
